Overview
Boba Fett at the Credit Collection Walmart release captures the resurrected bounty hunter and Tatooine warlord through the distinctive end-credit artwork aesthetic — a colourful artistic interpretation inspired by the end-credit sequences of The Mandalorian. Released exclusively through Walmart in late 2022, with most collectors receiving their figures in early January 2023. Walmart exclusive at $27.99. 21 joints including butterfly-jointed shoulders and swivel shins. Five accessories: a soft-goods robe, a gaffi stick, a sniper rifle (with detachable strap), a blaster, and a collectible New Republic Credit coin. The figure is a straight repaint of the Boba Fett (Tython) figure (figure id=27083) with the Credit Collection’s distinctive stylised colour palette.
The Tython Source Body
This is a straight repaint of the Boba Fett (Tython) figure in the Credit Collection’s artistic palette. The Tython source body is structurally distinctive — it’s the Mandalorian-era armoured Boba Fett configuration (restored Mandalorian armour, gaffi stick, Tusken-raid-era accessories) rather than the classic Return of the Jedi bounty-hunter configuration. The five-accessory loadout inherited from the Tython source body is one of the most generous in the Credit Collection sub-line.
The Five-Accessory Loadout
Soft-goods robe — fits the figure nicely without looking overly bulky. The robe drapes cleanly over the armour configuration without the bulk complaints that affect some Black Series soft-goods releases.
Gaffi stick — Boba Fett can hold it well in each hand. Standard two-handed reach-weapon grip. The gaffi stick and the sniper rifle can both be strapped across Boba Fett’s upper body so he can carry them on his back simultaneously. This back-carry configuration is a distinctive display state — both weapons stowed across the shoulders for a fully-equipped-Boba travelling configuration.
Sniper rifle — while Boba Fett can hold it, it’s difficult to have him grab it properly in a shooting pose. Specific grip-limitation note — the sniper rifle’s geometry doesn’t fully support the canonical deployed-shooting display configuration. The strap can be unplugged and taken off. Back-carry stowage is the more practical sniper rifle display state.
Blaster — held well in the right hand with index finger on the trigger. The holster is the perfect size and holds the blaster well. Standard right-hand sidearm grip with functional holster stowage.
New Republic Credit coin — the 2022 Credit Collection coin accessory, using New Republic Credits rather than the Imperial Credits included with the 2020 Wave 1 figures.
The 21-Joint Articulation
21 joints. Ball-jointed top neck, ball-jointed lower neck, butterfly joints in the shoulders, ball-jointed shoulders, ball-jointed elbows, ball-jointed wrists, ball-jointed upper body, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, ball-jointed knees, swivel shins, ball-jointed ankles. Above-baseline through butterfly shoulders and swivel shins. The butterfly-jointed shoulder configuration supports cross-body arm positioning for the canonical gaffi-stick two-handed combat configurations. Boba Fett stands well on display without losing balance even in battle poses.
The photo-real face print gives the figure a life-like appearance at portrait level, inherited from the Tython source body.
The Walmart Exclusive Distribution
The Boba Fett Credit Collection is a Walmart exclusive — distributed through mass-market Walmart retail channels. The 2022 Credit Collection multi-retailer cluster required GameStop (Armorer), Fan Channel (Bo-Katan), Target (Ahsoka), and Walmart (Boba Fett) for complete acquisition. Walmart distribution is broadly accessible but the late-2022 release timing meant most collectors encountered this figure in early January 2023 rather than before the year end.
The Second Boba Fett Credit Collection Entry
This Walmart Boba Fett is a separate Credit Collection entry from the standard Target Credit Collection Boba Fett (P4-CC-08, 2021). The two releases use different source bodies: the 2021 Target CC Boba uses the standard Mandalorian-era armoured configuration (id not specified), while this 2022 Walmart CC Boba uses the Tython-specific source body with gaffi stick, sniper rifle, and soft-goods robe. For collectors tracking complete Credit Collection coverage, both entries are distinct acquisitions.
Secondary Market
Single-carded Walmart exclusive Credit Collection release with dedicated Credit Collection cardback, late 2022/early 2023. Available on the secondary market. Verify all five accessories — soft-goods robe, gaffi stick, sniper rifle (with detachable strap), blaster, and New Republic Credit coin — are present.
Verdict
Boba Fett (Credit Collection Walmart) is the most accessory-rich Credit Collection release in the 2022 cluster — the five-component loadout (robe, gaffi stick, sniper rifle, blaster, Credit coin) inherited from the Tython source body delivers the widest equipment-display range of the 2022 Credit Collection figures, the back-carry simultaneous gaffi-stick-and-sniper-rifle configuration is a distinctive display state, the soft-goods robe drapes cleanly without bulk, the blaster holster and right-hand grip work well, and the 21-joint butterfly-shoulder articulation supports canonical two-handed gaffi combat configurations.
The sniper rifle grip limitation is worth knowing — shooting-pose display works better as back-carry stowage than active-aim configuration. As a Credit Collection release this is a novelty artistic interpretation.
Buy this figure if you collect the Credit Collection as a complete set (the Walmart-exclusive 2022 Boba Fett is a distinct entry from the 2021 Target CC Boba Fett), if you appreciate the five-accessory Tython-era loadout with back-carry stowage engineering, or if you want the end-credit artwork artistic interpretation of Boba Fett’s Mandalorian-era armoured configuration. Skip if you specifically want the standard Mandalorian-era Boba Fett for screen-accurate display.
The resurrected Mandalorian warlord in his Credit Collection artistic interpretation. The figure with the five-accessory Tython-era loadout, the back-carry gaffi-and-rifle stowage configuration, the butterfly-shoulder 21-joint articulation, the clean-draping soft-goods robe, and the New Republic Credit coin.
