Overview

Cara Dune at the Credit Collection captures the former Rebel shock trooper turned Nevarro marshal through an artistic lens — a colourful repaint inspired by the distinctive end-credit artwork from The Mandalorian TV series. Released October 2020 exclusively at Target as part of the inaugural five-figure Credit Collection wave. Target exclusive at $24.99. 19 joints. Four accessories: a blaster, a blaster cannon, a knife, and a collectible Imperial Credit coin. The figure is a repaint of the 2019 Black Series Cara Dune (figure id=23604) with the Credit Collection’s signature stylised colour palette.

What the Credit Collection Is

The Credit Collection is a limited run of Black Series figures in artistic interpretations of characters from the end-credit artwork of The Mandalorian. The end-credit sequences from the show use a distinctive muted-colour illustrated style that differs from standard screen-accurate representations — more graphic, more stylised, with a flatter colour palette. The Credit Collection translates this end-credit visual identity into 6-inch figure repaints with premium deco applications.

Every figure includes a collectible plastic Credit accessory. The inaugural Wave 1 figures include Imperial Credits — the text explains this specifically: after the fall of the Galactic Empire, Imperial Credits became less common, with many planets refusing payments in the currency on principle. Subsequent Credit Collection releases include New Republic Credits instead. Cara Dune’s Imperial Credit accessory is structurally a Wave 1 detail.

The Four-Accessory Loadout

Blaster — a perfect fit for the holster, and the figure is able to hold it tightly in the right hand. Standard right-hand-preferred sidearm grip.

Blaster cannon — can be hung over Cara Dune’s shoulders and she can hold it well in both hands. The plastic strap on the blaster cannon is removable. Standard two-handed heavy-weapon grip for canonical shock-trooper combat-deployment configurations.

Knife — fits well into both hands and can be stored in Cara Dune’s left boot. Specific equipment-stowage engineering note — the left-boot knife sheath is a clean functional detail supporting both hand-held combat display and boot-stowed at-rest configurations.

Imperial Credit coin — the Wave 1 collectible currency accessory.

The Photo-Real Portrait and Head Articulation Note

The photo-real face print looks great and gives the figure a life-like appearance. The portrait quality upgrade over the 2019 source body is the functional improvement beneath the Credit Collection’s artistic repaint.

One structural note: even though the neck is ball-jointed on top and bottom, the up-and-down head movement is limited because of Cara Dune’s plastic hair and armour configuration. Standard character-class head-articulation constraint — the hair and shoulder armour geometry physically limits the tilt range regardless of the dual-axis neck engineering.

Above the 17-joint Phase 4 baseline through dual-axis neck and dual-axis knee engineering. The figure stands well on display and doesn’t lose balance even in dynamic poses.

The Wave 1 cluster covers the core Nevarro-era Season 1 Mandalorian characters, all featuring the iconic Kenner logo on the card back alongside the Credit Collection branding.

Verdict

Cara Dune (Credit Collection) is the Wave 1 Credit Collection’s most accessory-rich entry — the four-component loadout (blaster, blaster cannon with removable strap, boot-stowed knife, Imperial Credit coin) covers comprehensive canonical shock-trooper equipment configuration, the photo-real portrait delivers quality above the 2019 source body, the right-hand blaster grip and holster fit work cleanly, the blaster cannon shoulder-hang configuration supports canonical two-handed heavy-weapon display, and the figure balances reliably in dynamic poses.

The head articulation range is limited by the plastic hair and shoulder armour geometry. The Credit Collection’s artistic repaint approach makes this a novelty display piece and fan collectible rather than a screen-accurate upgrade.

Buy this figure if you collect the Credit Collection as a complete set, if you appreciate the end-credit artwork-inspired artistic interpretation as collecting interest, if you want the photo-real portrait upgrade over the 2019 source body, or if you specifically want the boot-stored knife and blaster cannon back-carry engineering.
