Overview
The Imperial Jumptrooper is an April 2019 GameStop and ThinkGeek exclusive at $22.99 — a standard Stormtrooper body (id=2285) with three new tooled elements: a new helmet, a jetpack with integrated cables, and new shoulder bells with yellow accent markings. Jumptroopers appear in Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Battlefront II, operating as elite jetpack-equipped units trained to swarm and overwhelm targets in tight spaces. The figure is specifically recommended for Rebels fans. A repainted version was released as the Imperial Rocket Trooper (id=26029) in June 2021. 23 joints — full Phase 3 Stormtrooper configuration with dual-axis elbows and swivel biceps.
The New Elements
Helmet — a new sculpt distinct from the standard Stormtrooper helmet, appropriate to the Jumptrooper design from the show and game.
Jetpack — plugs firmly into the hole in the back of the figure. The cables are permanently attached to the helmet and plug nicely into the jetpack, creating a connected display configuration between helmet and pack. The cable connection is a functional engineering detail rather than just visual — it holds.
Shoulder bells — new tooling with yellow accent markings that distinguish this Jumptrooper from the standard white armour.
Accessories and Display Stand
Blaster — the E-11 blaster was nicely weathered and fits into the holster and both hands.
Triangular display stand — allows the Jumptrooper to be displayed in more action-oriented dynamic poses on the shelf. It works OK but isn’t perfect; displaying in a running/launching pose takes time to get the balance right. Worth the effort for the dynamic display payoff.
One quality note on the reviewed sample: black paint smudges on the yellow shoulder bell. Not a universal issue, but worth checking on secondary market purchases.
Secondary Market
GameStop/ThinkGeek exclusive, April 2019. Three accessories: jetpack, blaster, display stand. Check the yellow shoulder bells for paint smudges when buying loose.
Verdict
Imperial Jumptrooper is a solid Rebels-era Imperial trooper variant — the jetpack-to-helmet cable connection is a clean engineering feature, the weathered blaster looks good, and the display stand adds genuine value for action pose configurations. Yellow shoulder bell paint quality is a note to verify. For Rebels fans wanting their screen-accurate Jumptrooper in 6” scale, this is the release.
