Obi-Wan Kenobi & 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper 2-Pack — Star Wars The Black Series

The Star Wars Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi & 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper 2-Pack — Clones of the Republic #3, 2025. $44.99. Obi-Wan in his Clone Wars general configuration with orange-accented 212th trooper. The third Clones of the Republic 2-pack.

Overview

The Obi-Wan Kenobi & 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper 2-pack is Clones of the Republic #3, 2025. $44.99. Obi-Wan Kenobi in his Clone Wars general configuration alongside the orange-detailed Phase II trooper of his 212th Attack Battalion — the unit he commanded across three seasons of conflict, from Geonosis to Utapau.

This is the third release in the Clones of the Republic series, following Mace Windu & 187th Legion Clone Trooper (#1) and Yoda & Commander Gree (#2). The format pairs Jedi generals with their specific clone battalions in a single package, and the Obi-Wan/212th pairing is arguably the most natural fit in the series — Kenobi and the 212th are among the most consistently featured Jedi/clone combinations across the entire Clone Wars.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s role in the Clone Wars is different from most of the other Jedi generals. He leads from the front — personally commanding ground assaults, frequently behind enemy lines, comfortable in situations where other Jedi would be calling for extraction. The 212th Attack Battalion became associated with him specifically because of the operational tempo they maintained under his command: constant deployment, high-difficulty missions, and a general who consistently inserted himself into the most dangerous situations rather than directing from a command post.

The Clone Wars configuration is Obi-Wan in armoured Jedi robes — the practical, campaign-worn version of the character rather than the clean Council-chamber look. Photo Real face printing. Lightsaber. The specific posture and expression of someone who has been doing this for three years and is very good at it.

Obi-Wan has more Black Series releases than almost any other character in the line, but most cover his ANH or prequel-film appearances. The Clones of the Republic version is specifically the Clone Wars general — the configuration that gets the most screen time across the animated series and the least dedicated coverage in the mainline figure releases.

The 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper

The 212th Attack Battalion is Obi-Wan’s unit, identified by the orange accent detailing on their Phase II armour. The orange is more muted than the 501st’s blue or the ARC trooper’s red — practical field colouring rather than parade-ground markings, which fits the battalion’s operational character. These are troops who spend most of their time on campaign, and their armour looks like it.

The 212th were Obi-Wan’s forces at Geonosis, Christophsis, Ryloth, and ultimately Utapau — where Order 66 found them, and where Commander Cody handed Obi-Wan back his lightsaber moments before receiving the order to fire on him. The trooper in this 2-pack carries that history in the paint on the armour.

Blaster rifle and pistol. Phase II articulation at the current Phase 4 standard.

The 212th in the Black Series

The 212th has appeared in the Black Series before. The 212th Battalion Clone Trooper from the Clone Wars wave (P4-TCW-09) covers the same colour scheme. The Clones of the Republic version is the 2025 production standard alongside a named Jedi general — if you want both figures at current quality in one purchase, this is the only way to get them.

For collectors building out the 212th as an army, the standalone P4-TCW-09 is the repeat purchase; the COTR pack provides Obi-Wan and one trooper as the command tier of the formation.

The Clones of the Republic Series

Three packs into the series, the Clones of the Republic format has covered three of the Clone Wars’ most significant Jedi/clone pairings: Mace Windu with the 187th, Yoda with Commander Gree and the 41st, and Obi-Wan Kenobi with the 212th. The progression moves from the most senior Jedi (Yoda, Windu) to the most operationally active (Kenobi), which is a sensible sequence for a Clone Wars-focused sub-line.

Each 2-pack puts the general and their specific battalion together at a single price point — $44.99 for two figures, which is better value than two separate Phase 4 releases, particularly when one of them is a named Jedi at current production standards.

Display

The 212th pairing works well as part of a Clone Wars command shelf alongside the Mace Windu and Yoda/Gree packs — three Jedi generals with their battalions displayed together is a compelling Clone Wars command display that tells the story of the Republic’s Jedi-led military structure.

Obi-Wan also anchors a 212th formation display with additional 212th Battalion troopers from the Clone Wars mainline wave.

Our Verdict

The Obi-Wan Kenobi & 212th Attack Battalion 2-pack is the most practically useful Clones of the Republic release so far — the most operationally active Jedi of the Clone Wars paired with the battalion he spent three years fighting alongside. The 2025 production standard brings both figures to the current Phase 4 quality ceiling. For any Clone Wars display, Obi-Wan and the 212th are essential, and this 2-pack is the most efficient way to get them both.
