The definitive debut of the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter in The Vintage Collection arrived in 2010 as part of the launch Wave 1. Representing Boba Fett as he appeared in The Empire Strikes Back, this figure was the "holy grail" of the initial lineup. It replaced the dated, bulky sculpts of the previous decade with a sophisticated, lean, and highly articulated frame that perfectly captured the stoic, menacing presence Jeremy Bulloch brought to the screen on Bespin.

Technical Details & Sculpt

  • Design & ESB Silhouette: The sculpt is tailored to the specific "Empire" configuration, featuring the iconic green gauntlets and the light-colored flight suit. The figure captures the character’s balanced, athletic profile, sitting naturally in the iconic "at-ready" stance with his carbine.
  • Deco & Bespin Weathering: The 2010 release is defined by its muted, cinematic palette. The paint application features a matte finish on the armor plates, with delicate silver "chipping" along the edges of the helmet and chest. The rangefinder is tipped with black, and the HUD sensors on the chest plate are precisely detailed with red and silver highlights.
  • Articulation: Featuring premium TVC articulation, including ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, and knees. The specialized ball-jointed hips and "rocker" ankles allow the hunter to maintain a stable footprint even when weighted by his heavy jetpack, making him ideal for dynamic flight poses.
  • Display Utility: This is the mandatory "hunter" for any Cloud City Carbon Chamber or Slave I Cockpit diorama. He is best positioned alongside 4-LOM (VC10) or keeping a close eye on Han Solo (VC03).

Accessories & Equipment

Boba Fett comes prepared to track any mark across the Outer Rim with a full tactical loadout. He includes his signature EE-3 carbine rifle, featuring a detailed sculpt and a dark metallic finish. A standout feature of the 2010 release is the removable Z-6 jetpack, which features a secure peg system and a dark green and silver paint scheme. Additionally, the figure includes the soft-goods wookiee-scalp braids draped over his shoulder and a weathered fabric cape. The articulated rangefinder on the helmet can be lowered, allowing for a "targeting" display during the hunt for the Millennium Falcon.
