The surly Advozse mercenary made his debut in The Vintage Collection in 2011 as part of Wave 7. Known for his solitary nature and his brief but memorable appearance in the Mos Eisley Cantina in A New Hope, Bom Vimdin was a standout "alien" release. This figure was highly praised for bringing a relatively obscure background character to life with an incredible level of sculpt detail and articulation, proving that even the most fleeting patrons of Chalmun’s Spaceport deserved a definitive 3.75-inch representation.

Technical Details & Sculpt

  • Design & Advozse Biology: The sculpt is a masterclass in alien anatomy, featuring the single, prominent black horn atop his head and his large, light-sensitive black eyes. The skin texture is appropriately leathery, and his high-collared, multi-layered smuggler’s outfit is rendered with sharp, clean lines that reflect the "used universe" aesthetic.
  • Deco & Finish: The 2011 release features a hand-painted application that emphasizes his weathered, survivalist look. The palette is dominated by earthy browns and tans, with subtle metallic hits on his belt buckles and specialized gear. His large black eyes are finished with a high-gloss coat to give them a realistic, insectoid depth.
  • Articulation: Featuring premium TVC articulation, including ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, and knees. The "swivel" wrists and ball-jointed hips allow Bom Vimdin to lean back in a cantina booth or take a defensive, quick-draw stance when a Jedi begins drawing a lightsaber nearby.
  • Display Utility: This is the mandatory "loner" figure for any Mos Eisley Cantina or Tatooine diorama. He is best positioned in a dark corner booth or standing near Ponda Baba (VC70).

Accessories & Equipment

Bom Vimdin comes prepared for the lawless nature of the Outer Rim. He includes a short blaster pistol and a long-barreled blaster rifle, reflecting his versatility as a mercenary. A standout feature of the 2011 release is his Advozse drinking cup, a unique accessory that allows collectors to pose him mid-drink. He also features a functional holster on his right hip, which securely houses his pistol when he isn't expecting trouble.
