Marking the 100th figure in our session, the Clone Trooper Lieutenant joined The Vintage Collection in 2012 as part of Wave 15. This figure represents the Phase I officer rank seen during the Battle of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones. Within the Grand Army of the Republic's color-coded command structure, the blue markings denote a Lieutenant, responsible for leading a platoon of 36 troopers. This release was a key addition for "squad builders" looking to complete their Geonosis command staff.

Technical Details & Sculpt

• Design & Sculpt: This figure utilizes the definitive Phase I Clone Trooper base sculpt, known for its sleek, aerodynamic "fin" helmet and clean armor plates. The sculpt captures the early, pristine look of the clones before the grittier weathering of the later Clone Wars era took hold.
• Deco & Rank Markings: The defining feature of VC109 is the striking blue paint applied to the helmet's crest, the shoulder pauldrons, and the forearm gauntlets. The application is exceptionally clean, utilizing a vibrant cobalt blue that stands out against the high-gloss white plastic of the armor.
• Articulation: Featuring premium TVC articulation from the 2012 era, including ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles. The hip construction allows the Lieutenant to adopt a natural kneeling position, perfect for directing fire on the Geonosian plains.
• Display Utility: As a commanding officer, this figure is best displayed at the head of a squad of standard white Phase I Clone Troopers. He is the essential leader for any Battle of Geonosis diorama, standing alongside Mace Windu or Yoda.

Accessories & Equipment

The Clone Trooper Lieutenant comes battle-ready with the standard-issue DC-15A blaster rifle (the longer variant) and the DC-15S blaster carbine. Both weapons are molded in a dark metallic grey. The figure’s hands are specifically scaled to maintain a firm grip on either weapon, allowing for both relaxed "patrol" poses and aggressive combat stances.
