Commemorating the victory at the Battle of Yavin, Luke Skywalker (Yavin Ceremony) joined The Vintage Collection in 2019. Originally released as a Walmart Exclusive, this figure captures Luke in the formal attire he wore while receiving his medal of honor. This release was a significant upgrade for collectors, as it finally brought the "Ceremonial" look to a vintage-style cardback with modern production standards.

Technical Details & Sculpt

• Character Likeness: While the body is a rework of the 2013 Black Series 3.75-inch sculpt, this TVC version features a brand-new head sculpt utilizing Photo-real technology. The digital face printing provides one of the most accurate likenesses of a young Mark Hamill produced at this scale.
• Attire & Deco: Luke is dressed in his yellow jacket, black trousers with a brown stripe, and formal boots. The jacket is a removable sleeveless plastic vest; however, because the sleeves are sculpted and painted onto the arms, the figure is intended to be displayed with the jacket on. The paint application on the belt and the "buckle" of the holster is notably sharp.
• Articulation: The figure features 12 points of articulation. While it includes ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, and knees, it notably lacks the rocker ankle articulation found in newer TVC bucks. It also utilizes the older swivel hip style, which some collectors prefer for the seamless look it provides when the figure is standing at attention for the ceremony.
• Display Utility: This is the essential Luke for the final scene of A New Hope. He is designed to stand alongside Princess Leia (Yavin Ceremony) and Han Solo (Yavin Ceremony) to complete the heroic trio on the podium.

Accessories & Equipment

Luke comes with the essential gear for a hero of the Rebellion. He includes the Medal of Yavin, which fits easily over the head and rests on the chest. He is also armed with a blaster pistol that fits into the functional holster on his hip, and a lightsaber hilt. The hilt can be held in either hand or plugged into a small hole on his belt for storage.
