The Nikto pilot and loyal enforcer of Jabba the Hutt made his definitive debut in The Vintage Collection in late 2010 as part of Wave 3. Representing Wooof (originally known simply as the "Nikto" in the vintage Kenner era) as he appeared in Return of the Jedi, this figure was a triumph of alien sculpt design. It moved away from the more generic background aliens of previous lines to provide a super-articulated, character-specific version of the skilled pilot who helped navigate the desert winds of Tatooine from the deck of the Sail Barge.

Technical Details & Sculpt

  • Design & Nikto Physiology: The sculpt is a standout for its era, featuring the distinct facial ridges, horns, and reptilian skin textures of the Nikto species. The figure captures his rugged, layered desert flight gear, including the heavy brown vest and specialized gauntlets that distinguish him from the standard Skiff Guards.
  • Deco & Weathering: The 2010 release is defined by its muted, sandy palette. The paint application features a matte finish on the olive-green skin and tan flight suit, with a dark wash over the vest to simulate the grease and grime of a working desert mechanic. The small horns on his face are individually painted, providing a sharp, high-contrast look.
  • Articulation: Featuring premium TVC articulation, including ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, and knees. The specialized ball-jointed hips and "rocker" ankles allow Wooof to be posed in a wide, braced stance, perfect for maintaining his balance on the deck of the Khetanna or a Desert Skiff.
  • Display Utility: This is the mandatory "pilot" for any Jabba’s Palace or Sail Barge diorama. He is best positioned alongside Klaatu (VC135) or standing watch over the Great Pit of Carkoon.

Accessories & Equipment

Wooof comes prepared to defend the Hutt’s interests with a versatile arsenal. He includes his signature vibro-ax with a long, weathered haft and a DL-17 blaster pistol that fits into a functional holster on his right hip. A standout feature of the 2010 release is the removable bandolier, which fits snugly over his shoulder and features sculpted pouch detailing. He also includes a long-range blaster rifle, allowing collectors to display him as either a close-quarters palace sentry or a perimeter guard for the Khetanna.
