Overview
The Clone Troopers of Order 66 4-Pack is an Entertainment Earth exclusive released late November/early December 2016 at $99.99. It collects four Phase II clone trooper variants from Revenge of the Sith — four of the battalions and specialist units who carried out Order 66, the Emperor’s command to execute the Jedi — in a single premium set with a genuinely exceptional presentation. All four figures share the same sculpt and 22 joints, differentiated entirely by their distinctive battalion paint schemes. Every figure comes with a blaster rifle and features heavy weathering throughout.
The packaging itself is worth calling out: a beautifully designed display box that can be opened and displayed without removing the figures. All four stand visible in their respective positions inside the opened box, making this one of the few Phase 3 sets that works equally well as an in-package display piece or a loose display.
This set also marks the first time Hasbro used the designation “Coruscant Guard” on packaging for the figure previously labelled Shock Trooper — a small but notable naming shift for prequel collectors.
The Articulation
All four figures share the same 22-joint Phase II clone trooper articulation: ball-jointed neck, ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, double swivel joints above and below each elbow, ball-jointed wrists, ball-jointed waist, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below knees, ball-jointed ankles. The double elbow system gives each figure meaningful arm range for blaster-holding two-hand poses and more dynamic battlefield stances. No heads underneath the helmets, no removable armour parts.
The Four Figures
Shock Trooper / Coruscant Guard (Red)
The red-marked Coruscant Guard — clone troopers who served as the Republic’s military police force on the capital world during the Clone Wars. On packaging, Hasbro designated this figure as the Coruscant Guard specifically rather than Shock Trooper, making this a naming milestone in the 6” line. Equipped with a long blaster rifle that fits well in both hands. The red and white paint carries heavy scratching and dirt on the front and back, giving the figure a battle-worn look despite the ceremonial guard role.
501st Legion (Blue)
The blue-marked 501st Legion — Anakin Skywalker’s personal battalion during the Clone Wars, and the unit that became “Vader’s Fist” after Order 66 was executed. According to the packaging text, these troopers specifically patrolled the grounds after their siege of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant — making this figure a direct reference to one of the most significant moments in the prequel trilogy. Blue markings over white armour, with the same heavy weathering throughout.
212th Attack Battalion (Orange)
The orange-marked 212th Attack Battalion — Obi-Wan Kenobi’s unit during the Clone Wars, most prominently deployed on Utapau in Revenge of the Sith when Order 66 was executed mid-battle. This is the unit that turned on Kenobi under General Cody’s command. The orange and white armour scheme is immediately recognisable to prequel fans, and the source documentation specifically identifies this figure as the “Utapau Clone Trooper” in the context of the set.
442nd Siege Battalion (Green)
The green-marked 442nd Siege Battalion — a specialist unit equipped with AT-RT walkers and ISP speeders, trained for besieging enemy fortifications. The 442nd is the least recognisable name to casual viewers but a genuine battalion designation from the Clone Wars era. Green markings over white, same weathering quality as the others.
Paint Quality
The source documentation highlights that the paint is different on all four — not just the markings colour, but the specific weathering patterns, scratch placements, and dirt distribution. Every figure has lots of scratches and dirt applied to both the front and the back of the armour. This means standing the four together in a display produces a visually varied group rather than four identical copies with colour swaps.
The Display Box
The packaging is specifically noted as beautifully designed — the box opens to reveal all four figures in their positions without requiring any to be removed. For collectors who display in packaging, this is one of the strongest in-box display presentations in Phase 3. For loose collectors, the box still functions as an excellent display stand. Either way, keeping the box is genuinely worthwhile here.
The Clone Wars Context
Order 66 specifically matters as the framing device for this set. These aren’t four generic clone troopers — they’re the units that were in the field when Palpatine issued the command to execute the Jedi. The 501st sieged the Temple. The 212th turned on Kenobi at Utapau. The Coruscant Guard secured the capital. The 442nd was among the forces in the field. Framing the set this way gives it narrative weight that a generic “four clone troopers” set wouldn’t have.
By 2016, prequel-era characters remained notably under-represented in the Black Series 6” line four years in. This set, alongside Commander Gree released the following year, addressed that gap directly with Phase II clone variants that hadn’t appeared in the format before.
Secondary Market
Entertainment Earth, late November/early December 2016. Four blaster rifles to verify. The display box condition matters significantly on the secondary market given its role as a display piece — confirm the opening mechanism works cleanly and all four figures are present and properly seated.
Verdict
Clone Troopers of Order 66 is one of the essential Phase 3 4-pack sets — four beautifully weathered prequel clone variants with strong narrative framing, excellent 22-joint articulation, different paint on every figure, and the best in-box display presentation in the Phase 3 programme. The $99.99 price is high, but four individually-articulated, heavily weathered Phase II clones at once is a compelling case for the format.
