Clone Troopers of Order 66 4-Pack — Star Wars The Black Series
The Black Series Clone Troopers of Order 66 4-Pack — Entertainment Earth exclusive, late 2016. $99.99. Four Clone Trooper repaints on identical Phase I sculpt: Shock Trooper (Coruscant Guard, first packaging use of that name), 501st Legion, 212th Attack Battalion, 442nd Siege Battalion (first 6-inch release). Beautiful openable display box. Each with unique weathering.
Overview
Clone Troopers of Order 66 is a late November/early December 2016 Entertainment Earth exclusive at $99.99 — the second EE Black Series 6” exclusive set, following the Imperial Forces 4-Pack from 2015. Four Clone Troopers from Revenge of the Sith, all sharing the identical Phase I sculpt, differentiated entirely by paint. The set covers four named Clone battalions active at the time of Order 66: the Coruscant Guard, Vader’s 501st Legion, Obi-Wan’s 212th Attack Battalion, and the lesser-known 442nd Siege Battalion. The display box is specifically noted as beautifully designed and can be opened for display without removing the figures from the packaging.
The Shared Sculpt
All four figures use the same Phase I Clone Trooper tooling. 22 joints each — ball-jointed neck, ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, dual-axis elbows, ball-jointed wrists, ball-jointed waist, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below knees, ball-jointed ankles. One blaster rifle each, fitting well in both hands. No head under any helmet, no removable armour parts on any figure. Each trooper stands well in dynamic battle poses. The differentiation between figures is entirely in the paint: each has a distinct battalion colour application, and all four have scratches and dirt worked into the front and back of the armour — the weathering is nicely done throughout.
Shock Trooper (Coruscant Guard)
Red-and-white armour, the Coruscant Guard Shock Trooper. This set marks the first time Hasbro used the name “Coruscant Guard” on packaging rather than “Shock Trooper” — a notable terminology shift. The Coruscant Guard was the military police unit stationed on the Republic’s capital world, with Shock Troopers as the elite soldiers of that unit. Blaster rifle included.
Clone Trooper (501st Legion)
Blue-and-white armour — Vader’s Fist, the most famous Clone battalion in Revenge of the Sith. The packaging places them explicitly at the siege of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the defining Order 66 moment for this unit. Standard blaster with holster for this figure.
Clone Trooper (212th Attack Battalion)
Orange/tan-and-white armour — Obi-Wan Kenobi’s battalion, the Utapau troopers. The 212th executed Order 66 against Obi-Wan on the sinkholes of Utapau, making this one of the most scene-specific troopers in the set. Blaster rifle included.
Clone Trooper (442nd Siege Battalion)
Green-and-white armour — the 442nd Siege Battalion’s first appearance in the Black Series 6” line. A specialised siege unit equipped with AT-RT walkers and ISP speeders, identified by their green markings. Less prominent than the 501st or 212th in the films, the 442nd is a deep-cut inclusion that rewards collectors with working knowledge of the expanded Clone Wars military structure. Blaster rifle included.
The Display Box
The packaging was specifically designed for both retail and display — it can be opened and displayed with the figures still in place, functioning as a presentation tray rather than requiring destructive opening. For collectors who keep boxes, this is a meaningful practical upgrade over standard packaging.
The Order 66 Theme
The set’s name frames all four troopers at the moment of betrayal — each battalion listed here executed Order 66 against their Jedi generals simultaneously across the galaxy. The Coruscant Guard turned on the Jedi Temple alongside Vader; the 501st executed Order 66 on Coruscant; the 212th targeted Obi-Wan on Utapau; the 442nd participated in the wider Grand Army response. As a display grouping they represent the moment the Clone Army became Palpatine’s instrument across multiple fronts.
Secondary Market
Entertainment Earth exclusive, late 2016, Phase 3 Red Line. Four blaster rifles to verify on a loose set. The 442nd Siege Battalion figure is the most collector-significant as its first 6” release; confirm the correct green-marked figure is present when buying loose.
Verdict
Clone Troopers of Order 66 is a focused, well-executed clone army builder set — four battalion variants on a consistent sculpt, each with unique weathering, packaged in a display-ready box. The 442nd Siege Battalion’s first 6” appearance and the first “Coruscant Guard” packaging usage are the genuine collector notes. At $99.99 for four figures it’s the same premium pricing as the Imperial Forces set, and the value proposition is essentially identical: battalion-specific paint variants that couldn’t be obtained any other way.
