Overview

The Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper is Mandalorian & Grogu Collection #MAG 05, 2026 mainline, $27.99. The army builder of the MAG Collection — the formation infantry of the antagonist faction in The Mandalorian & Grogu film. E-11 blaster plus two additional accessories. Available as standard release and First Edition white packaging variant. The Target exclusive Brown Leg variant is a separate figure at #MAG 06.

The Remnant Stormtrooper Design

The Imperial Remnant’s Stormtrooper design is deliberately distinct from the classic Imperial Stormtrooper without abandoning the fundamental silhouette. The Remnant operates without an active Imperial supply chain — equipment is maintained in the field rather than issued fresh, and the armour reflects that. Specific colouring, weathering, and panel modifications communicate post-Empire operations: this is not the clean, uniform white of the Death Star corridors. This is armour that has been through things.

For display purposes the distinction matters. The Remnant Stormtrooper belongs in a Mandalorian era display alongside the AT-AT Driver, AT-RT Driver, and Colonel Ward — not in an original trilogy Imperial formation. The ANH Stormtrooper and the Remnant Stormtrooper are two different forces in two different eras, and the figure design communicates that.

Three Accessories

Three accessories on the MAG Collection army builder is a strong value proposition. The E-11 blaster is the base infantry weapon. The two additional accessories add display variety across multiple copies — different configurations across a Remnant Stormtrooper formation creates the visual interest that identical poses can’t achieve. For a figure you’re buying in multiples, accessory variety is the difference between a formation that reads as a unit and a shelf of identical figures.

Army Building the Formation

The MAG Collection builds a complete conflict environment when assembled. The Din Djarin & Grogu 2-pack (#01) is the centre. Colonel Ward (#04) is the New Republic command tier. The Remnant formation — AT-AT Driver (#02), AT-RT Driver (#03), Stormtrooper infantry (#05) — is the opposing force.

Three Remnant Stormtroopers is a reasonable starting point. A three-figure squad reads as a formation rather than an individual. Add more from there based on shelf space and budget. The First Edition version has identical figure contents — buy multiples in the standard configuration and save the First Edition slot for one of the named characters.

MAG 05 vs MAG 06 — Standard vs Brown Leg

The Brown Leg variant at #MAG 06 is a Target exclusive with different paint application on the leg armour — a figure variant rather than a packaging variant. The standard Stormtrooper at #05 and the Brown Leg at #06 are the same sculpt with different paint. For collectors who want the most visually accurate representation of the Remnant’s infantry as seen in the series, the Brown Leg variant is the specific variant to know about.

A formation mix of standard (#05) and Brown Leg (#06) creates the visual variety of a real military unit — not all identical, as field-modified equipment rarely is.

First Edition vs Standard

Both contain the same figure and accessories at $27.99. The First Edition is packaging only. For army builders the standard is the practical choice — buy multiples without the First Edition premium applying to repeat purchases.

Secondary Market

Standard mainline 2026 release at $27.99. Army builders at standard retail rarely command significant secondary market premiums — wide availability and repeat-purchase intent keep prices close to retail.

Our Verdict

The Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper is the MAG Collection’s foundation purchase after the central 2-pack — the figure you buy in multiples to build the formation that makes everything else read as a conflict. Three accessories at $27.99, standard and First Edition both available, with the Brown Leg variant at #06 adding the finishing visual distinction. Buy three standard. Add a Brown Leg. The Remnant infantry formation is complete.
