The Purge Stormtrooper & MSE Droid Holiday Edition 2-Pack is the fifth of six Holiday Edition 2-packs in the 2023 series, released in October 2023 as a Fan Channel exclusive. Fan Channel exclusive at $27.99. The Purge Stormtrooper is a repaint of the 2019 Black Series Purge Stormtrooper (figure id=23631) in Nutcracker colours — one of the 2023 wave’s clearest seasonal character-concept fits. An MSE Droid accompanies in holiday styling. Pack #5 of 6 in the 2023 Holiday Edition series.
The Nutcracker Concept
For this release Hasbro painted the figure in Nutcracker colors. The Purge Stormtrooper’s armoured silhouette — upright, symmetrical, rigid — maps well onto the classical Nutcracker figure aesthetic. This is one of the 2023 Holiday Edition wave’s clearest and most intentional seasonal character-concept fits, sitting alongside the Snowtrooper Snowman (Pack #6) as the wave’s most visually readable seasonal analogues. The paint application is fun — Hasbro even gave the blaster black and golden accent colours, a specific weapon-paint detail that goes beyond a simple colour swap.
The Two Accessories
Blaster rifle — fits well into the Purge Trooper’s hands. The black and golden accent colours on the blaster are a specific commended detail — a decorative paint commitment on the weapon that mirrors the Nutcracker seasonal aesthetic.
Removable shoulder pauldron — can be taken off the figure. The shoulder pauldron removal requires the helmet to be popped off first.
The belt and the soft-goods skirt can’t be removed. No head underneath the helmet.

23 joints — ball-jointed top and lower neck, ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, swivel joints above and below both elbows, ball-jointed wrists, ball-jointed upper body, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below both knees, ball-jointed ankles. Above baseline through swivel biceps and dual-axis elbow engineering. The figure stands well on display without falling over.
