Star Wars The Black Series — Solo: A Star Wars Story Figures
Every Star Wars Black Series figure from Solo: A Star Wars Story. 13 figures covering the full 2018 wave — Han Solo, Lando, Qi'ra, Enfys Nest, Range Trooper, L3-37, Val, Tobias Beckett, Rio Durant, Dryden Vos, Imperial Patrol Trooper — plus the 2019 Mimban Han Solo.
Solo in the Black Series
Solo: A Star Wars Story arrived in 2018 with a full Black Series wave to support it — one of the most complete single-film tie-in waves the line produced. Thirteen figures covering almost every named character in the film, plus the Range Trooper and Imperial Patrol Trooper as new trooper variants. The wave is notable for introducing characters who had never had a Black Series figure before: Lando Calrissian in his Solo configuration, Qi’ra, Enfys Nest, L3-37, Val, Tobias Beckett, Dryden Vos, and Rio Durant.
The film underperformed at the box office and the toy line reflected that — several figures ended up on clearance. That makes the Solo wave one of the better value propositions in the Black Series for collectors buying on secondary market, with most figures available well under original retail.
The 2018 Wave
Han Solo (Solo) — Young Han in his Solo costume with the DL-44 and the specific jacket from the film.
Lando Calrissian — Lando at his most flamboyant — cape, capé accessories, and the confident posture of a man who hasn’t lost the Falcon yet.
Qi’ra — Han’s childhood friend and Crimson Dawn operative. One of the few Solo characters with genuine mystery and a compelling arc.
Tobias Beckett — The veteran criminal who trains young Han. Dual blasters.
Val (Vandor-1) — Beckett’s partner on the Vandor-1 train heist. One of the briefest but most striking characters in the film.
L3-37 — Lando’s co-pilot and the most politically opinionated droid in the galaxy. Self-constructed from salvaged parts, which gives the figure a genuinely unusual silhouette.
Rio Durant — The four-armed Ardennian pilot of Beckett’s crew. A figure that required new engineering to handle the multiple arms correctly.
Rio Durant with AT-Hauler (Deluxe) — A deluxe release pairing Rio with the AT-Hauler vehicle for the Conveyex heist sequence.
Dryden Vos — The Crimson Dawn crime lord. Distinctive red facial markings that shift with his mood — a detail the figure captures in the sculpt.
Range Trooper — Imperial trooper variant designed for extreme environments, with the distinctive fur-trimmed armour from the Vandor-1 sequence. A new design unique to the film.
Imperial Patrol Trooper — Another new trooper variant introduced in Solo, seen on Corellia. Leaner armour, motorcycle association.
Enfys Nest — Target exclusive. The Cloud-Rider leader whose reveal is one of the film’s genuine surprises — the apparent villain who isn’t. Distinctive helmet and electroripper staff.
2019 Addition
Han Solo (Mimban) — Han in his muddy Mimban infantry uniform from early in the film — the sequence that establishes his situation before Beckett recruits him. A more grounded look than the standard Solo Han.
The Solo Wave in Context
The Solo wave is the Black Series at its most completist — every significant character, multiple trooper variants, and a deluxe vehicle pack. The fact that the film’s box office disappointment pushed these figures to clearance means the entire wave is accessible on secondary market in a way that a successful film’s tie-in figures typically aren’t.
For collectors building an Original Trilogy Han Solo shelf, the Solo wave offers the earliest chronological version of the character. For collectors interested in the criminal underworld tier of Star Wars — Crimson Dawn, the Bounty Hunters Guild, the operations that run beneath the Rebel/Empire conflict — the Solo figures are the primary Black Series source.
Enfys Nest, as the Target exclusive, commands the highest secondary prices of the wave. L3-37 and Dryden Vos are the most visually distinctive figures for display. The Range Trooper is the army builder.
