The high priest of the Bright Tree Tribe, Logray, made his spiritual debut in The Vintage Collection in 2011 as part of Wave 7. Representing the elder Ewok who presided over the planned sacrifice (and eventual celebration) of the Rebel heroes in Return of the Jedi, this figure was a masterclass in small-scale detailing. It finally provided a super-articulated, screen-accurate version of the medicine man, capturing the unique, striped fur and ritualistic garb that distinguished him from the younger scouts of Endor.

Technical Details & Sculpt

  • Design & Tribal Aesthetic: The sculpt is an intricate recreation of Logray’s distinct "tan and cream" striped fur pattern. The figure captures the elder’s slightly hunched posture and the weathered, wise expression behind his specialized ritual mask. The layered textures of the fur are some of the finest seen in the early TVC line.
  • Deco & Paint: The 2011 release features a complex paint application to achieve the "Zebra" stripe effect on his fur. His accessories are painted with bone-white and earthy brown finishes to simulate the natural, primitive materials used by the Ewok tribe.
  • Articulation: Despite his small stature, Logray features super-articulation, including ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, and knees. This allows him to be posed in a variety of ritualistic stances, from raising his staff in a blessing to sitting around a village fire.
  • Display Utility: This is the mandatory "elder" figure for any Ewok Village or Endor Forest diorama. He is best positioned atop the village catwalks alongside Chief Chirpa (VC130) and Wicket (VC27).

Accessories & Equipment

Logray comes heavily equipped with the sacred relics of the Bright Tree Tribe. He includes his signature bird-skull headdress, which is removable and features realistic feather and bead detailing. He also carries his medicine man staff, adorned with a bird skull and talons, and a medicine pouch that hangs across his shoulder. A standout feature of the 2011 release is the removable bone-and-pouch satchel, which adds a sense of functional, lived-in detail to the character.
