Star Wars Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi

Every Star Wars Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi figure — from ANH desert hermit through ROTS Jedi Knight, the Clone Wars animated, the full OWK Disney+ sub-line, and the Force Spirit. The most extensively covered Prequel Trilogy character in the line.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has more Black Series figures than any other prequel-era character — seventeen releases spanning the line’s full history, covering every major phase of his story from Padawan to desert hermit to Force Spirit. The range is the most comprehensive single-character coverage of any non-Original Trilogy protagonist in the line, driven by the 2022 Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series which produced its own dedicated sub-line with six releases.

Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars

Obi-Wan is human — the Jedi Knight who trained Anakin Skywalker, fought in the Clone Wars, survived Order 66, and spent twenty years in exile on Tatooine watching over Luke from a distance. His arc across the six-film saga is the one that runs closest to the complete Star Wars timeline: Padawan in The Phantom Menace, Knight in Attack of the Clones, General and Master in The Clone Wars, the fighter who kills Grievous and fails Anakin on Mustafar in Revenge of the Sith, the hermit who becomes a ghost in A New Hope.

Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness are playing the same person at different points, and the consistency of character between the two portrayals is one of the prequel trilogy’s more effective achievements. The specific way McGregor’s Obi-Wan becomes progressively more Guinness-like across the prequel films — the cadence, the delivery, the specific quality of measured authority — is a performance choice that pays off across two decades of storytelling.

His death in A New Hope is the saga’s most deliberate sacrifice — “if you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine” is a promise that the Force Spirit concept makes good on. He doesn’t fight Vader in A New Hope to win the duel. He fights to give Luke and the others time to escape, and he chooses the moment to stop resisting.

The Configuration Guide

ANH Hermit — The ANH Galaxy Collection sub-line has not produced an Obi-Wan as of 2025. The 40th Anniversary ROTJ wave Obi-Wan from 2023 is the Photo Real ANH-era version most recently produced, though the 40th ANH Kenner cardback versions from 2017 remain the dedicated ANH packaging. For a modern Photo Real ANH Obi-Wan, collectors should watch for the ANH sub-line to continue.

ROTS Jedi Knight — The 2025 Galaxy Collection ROTS Obi-Wan is the definitive Mustafar-era figure. Photo Real Ewan McGregor likeness at current production quality, the specific Jedi robes of his Revenge of the Sith appearance. For the Mustafar Duel display, this is the required figure.

Clone Wars animated — The 50th Anniversary Clone Wars Obi-Wan Target exclusive covers the character in the animated style. For the Clone Wars Battles display, this is the era-accurate animated version.

The OWK Sub-Line

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series produced six dedicated figures — more than any other single streaming production in the Black Series.

Wandering Jedi is the broken exile of the series’ opening — Obi-Wan disconnected from the Force, going through the motions, not yet the person the saga needs him to be. It’s the most deliberately diminished version of the character the line has produced.

Jabiim is the combat configuration of the series’ middle arc — Obi-Wan restored enough to fight but not yet at the full capacity that the finale requires.

Jedi Legend is the series finale version — the Walmart exclusive that covers the restored Jedi Master at his peak, the configuration that pairs with the Duel’s End Vader for the Obi-Wan vs Vader Rematch display’s climactic version.

Ben Kenobi (Tibidon Station) is the Target exclusive covering a specific OWK series scene — the earlier, more worn look of the character at a specific story moment.

The two-duel structure of the OWK series maps directly to two figure configurations: the Wandering Jedi for the Mapuzo encounter, the Jedi Legend for the Duel’s End. Both are worth owning if you’re building the complete rematch display.

The sub-line as a whole is the Black Series’ most complete coverage of a single Disney+ series — six figures including the leads, supporting cast, and exclusive variants. That level of commitment reflects the series’ production significance and collector demand, and it means the Obi-Wan Kenobi display is one of the more achievable complete Disney+ scene builds in the line if you’re willing to track down the Walmart and Target exclusives.

The Force Spirit

The 40th Anniversary ROTJ Force Spirit Obi-Wan is the translucent blue Ghost figure — the post-death manifestation present at the Ewok village celebration. Available both standalone and in the Force Ghosts three-pack with Anakin and Yoda. The three-pack is the recommended purchase — the three generations of the Jedi line present together is the most complete version of that display endpoint.

The Force FX Elite Lightsaber

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite covers his blue saber as a dedicated prop piece — one of the programme’s most significant releases, covering the weapon most associated with the Jedi Knight tradition across the entire saga.

Which Obi-Wan to Buy

The short answer by era: ROTS 2025 Galaxy Collection for the Mustafar and Clone Wars film context, OWK Jedi Legend for the rematch display, ANH 40th Anniversary for the desert hermit, Force Spirit for the ROTJ endpoint. The Clone Wars animated 50th Anniversary is the addition for collectors building the animated display.

Across seventeen figures, the most essential are the ROTS 2025 and the Jedi Legend — the prequel peak and the Disney+ restoration. Everything else fills specific display contexts or covers production eras the two essentials don’t.
