Obi-Wan Kenobi Force Spirit is the Alec Guinness-likeness Obi-Wan from the ROTJ Endor celebration — the elder Kenobi who watches Luke from the Force alongside Anakin and Yoda. Translucent blue plastic throughout. Photo Real face printing. Hasbro Pulse and ShopDisney exclusive. Part of the 40th Anniversary ROTJ programme, 2023.

Available as a standalone release and as part of the Force Ghosts 3-Pack with Anakin Skywalker (Force Spirit) and Yoda (Force Spirit).

The Force Spirit Configuration

This is the older Obi-Wan — robes, beard, the specific stillness of the character who has been dead since A New Hope and who reappears at the end of ROTJ having watched everything unfold. He let himself be struck down by Vader on the Death Star, told Luke he couldn’t win but could choose how he lost, and spent two films guiding from outside the physical world. The Force Spirit appearance at the end of ROTJ is his vindication: Luke succeeded, Anakin came back, the plan worked.

The translucent blue plastic captures the luminous quality of the Force apparition effectively. The layered robes translate well into the translucent material — fabric texture reads clearly through the blue cast, and the Photo Real Alec Guinness likeness is recognisable even rendered in light blue. The figure doesn’t lose detail to the translucency.

This is the only Black Series figure that represents Obi-Wan in his Force Spirit form. There are ANH Kenobis, Clone Wars Kenobis, Padawan Kenobis, and Obi-Wan Kenobi series figures — but this is the specific final form, the one that appears after his death. It’s a configuration that no other release covers.

The Weight of the Character at This Point

Obi-Wan Kenobi by ROTJ has been guiding Luke for three films across what the narrative suggests is years. He trained Anakin, lost Anakin, spent twenty years in exile watching the consequences, trained Luke in hiding, and then let Vader kill him on the Death Star to accelerate Luke’s growth. Every decision he made after Mustafar was in service of the moment where Anakin comes back. The Force Spirit appearance at Endor is the character getting to see that it worked.

The figure doesn’t require you to know any of this. But if you do know it, the translucent blue Obi-Wan standing quietly at the edge of the celebration carries the weight of that arc in a way that most figures don’t.

Display

The Endor finale display — all three Force Spirits together — is the primary context. The Force Ghosts 3-Pack packages them for exactly this purpose. As a standalone, the Force Spirit Obi-Wan pairs naturally with the Darth Vader (Duel’s End) — the master who let himself be struck down in ANH and the apprentice who finally came back in ROTJ. It also works alongside the standard Obi-Wan figures as a timeline display of the same character from Padawan through Force Spirit.

Our Verdict

The Force Spirit Obi-Wan is the only Black Series figure that captures Kenobi after death — the presence who guides from the Force rather than in person. The translucent plastic handles the layered robes well. Essential for ROTJ displays and for any Obi-Wan character collection. The Force Ghosts 3-Pack is the recommended acquisition path for all three together.
