Overview
Commander Wolffe is a July 2018 Fan Channel exclusive at $19.99, available at GameStop, ThinkGeek, Barnes & Noble, and Disney Stores. CC-3636, commander of the 104th Battalion Wolfpack — one of The Clone Wars’ most distinctive unit commanders, known for his cybernetic eye, his grey and black armour markings, and the tight bond he maintained with his squad. The Wolfpack suffered severe losses during the war, including an encounter with Asajj Ventress that cost Wolffe his right eye and much of his unit. He fought through it, continued to lead, and wore his battle scars openly. This is the first realistic 6” Black Series release for the character — a great addition to the small line-up of Clone Wars characters given realistic treatment in the programme. 21 joints — no ball-jointed wrists.
Articulation
21 joints: ball-jointed dual-axis neck, ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, dual-axis elbows (swivel above and below), ball-jointed upper body, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below both knees, ball-jointed ankles. The missing ball-jointed wrists is a notable configuration gap — the dual-blaster display this figure naturally invites would benefit from wrist rotation. Still a solid 21-joint range for battle stances and the standard Clone Wars commander poses.
The Three Accessories
Two blasters — both fit perfectly into the holsters. Both hands accept the trigger-finger grip position cleanly. Wolffe is built for dual-wield display, and the holster configuration supports it. Getting both index fingers on both triggers simultaneously is the display pose this figure is clearly designed for.
Removable helmet — the Wolfpack-marked helmet fits nicely over the head, covering front and back with no chin gap showing underneath. The rangefinder moves up and down — a functional detail. The helmet can be displayed alongside the figure bareheaded to show the photo-real face.
Paint and Armour
The 104th Battalion Wolfpack markings are present and all character-specific armour details appear on the figure. Paint is OK but could have been better — mostly clean with a few dirt splashes here and there rather than heavier weathering. For the commander of a unit that saw some of the worst the war had to offer, the armour reads cleaner than most would expect. It’s not wrong, just lighter than the battle-worn finish the source material suggests.
The Face
The photo-real face printing looks outstanding — the head in particular is described as looking exceptional in person. Wolffe’s cybernetic right eye, the scar tissue, and the lived-in features of a combat veteran are all present. The face alone is the figure’s most compelling feature and the photo-real technology delivers the right result here.
Clone Wars Display Context
Wolffe in 2018 represented Hasbro expanding the small realistic Clone Wars 6” roster. Alongside Rex and Cody, Wolffe completes the trio of most-requested Clone commanders in the programme. His Fan Channel distribution — GameStop, ThinkGeek, Barnes & Noble, Disney Store — made him accessible at retail rather than requiring a specialty order.
Secondary Market
Fan Channel, July 2018. Verify three accessories: two blasters (identical, so confirm both are present rather than a duplicate single) and the removable helmet. The rangefinder is the most fragile component on loose sets.
Verdict
Commander Wolffe delivers the essential Wolfpack commander in 6” scale — dual-holster blasters with trigger-finger capability, a correctly fitting removable helmet with poseable rangefinder, and an outstanding photo-real face. Light weathering is the honest note against the character’s battle-worn history. For Clone Wars display collections this is the missing piece alongside Rex and Cody.
