The Mandalorian Scout & Babu Frik Holiday Edition 2-Pack opens the 2023 Holiday Edition series as Pack #1 of 6, released exclusively through Amazon in October 2023. Amazon exclusive at $27.99. The Mandalorian Scout is a repaint of the Death Watch Mandalorian (figure id=28221) in a seasonal colour scheme. Babu Frik accompanies in festive holiday colours — his second Holiday Edition appearance, having also featured in the 2020 Best Buy Sith Trooper pack. Pack #1 of 6 in the 2023 Holiday Edition series. The Death Watch Sculpt

Hasbro repainted the Death Watch Mandalorian figure for this release. The Death Watch Mandalorian source body is a distinct armour configuration from the standard Din Djarin Beskar body — the earlier Mandalorian warrior design with its different helmet and armour detailing. The seasonal colour scheme applied to this sculpt gives the Mandalorian Scout its holiday character.

The Two Accessories

Blaster — can be stowed away in the holster on the Mandalorian’s right hip. The blaster has an orange tip — a safety marker on the toy blaster that’s a deliberate design choice for this Holiday Edition release. The figure can hold the toy blaster well in both hands.

Jet-pack — plugs nicely into a hole in the back of the figure. The two silver thrusters on the jet-pack can swivel 360 degrees — a specific small-engineering detail that adds display configuration variety to the jet-pack beyond simple on/off attachment.

The Moveable Rangefinder

The rangefinder on the helmet can be moved up and down — supporting both deployed and stowed rangefinder display configurations. This is a standard Mandalorian character-class detail that the Death Watch sculpt includes. There are no removable parts on the armour. No head underneath the helmet.

21 joints. Ball-jointed top and lower neck, ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, and wrists, swivel forearms, ball-jointed upper body, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, ball-jointed knees, ball-jointed ankles. Above baseline through swivel forearms. The Mandalorian Scout stands well on display without falling over.

Babu Frik’s Second Holiday Appearance

Babu Frik — the tiny Anzellan droidsmith from The Rise of Skywalker — reappears in holiday colours, having previously accompanied the Sith Trooper in the 2020 Best Buy Holiday Edition 2-pack. Babu Frik’s small scale and expressive sculpt make him a natural recurring Holiday Edition companion figure across multiple years.
