Overview
Moff Gideon at the Credit Collection captures the canonical Imperial Remnant commander through the distinctive end-credit artwork aesthetic. Released early January 2022 exclusively at Best Buy. Best Buy exclusive at $26.49. 17 joints. Four accessories: a blaster, the Darksaber (with removable blade), a removable plastic cape, and a collectible Galactic Credit coin. The figure is a repaint of the 2020 Black Series Moff Gideon (figure id=25919). Year imprinted on packaging: 2021.
The Darksaber and Weapon Grip
Moff Gideon’s signature weapon is the Darksaber — the black-bladed ancient Mandalorian weapon he wields as a symbol of power and authority. The Darksaber fits well into the left hand and loosely into the right. Specific hand-grip asymmetry note: left-hand-dominant display is the canonical configuration for Gideon, who predominantly wields the Darksaber left-handed on screen. The blade on the Darksaber can be unplugged, supporting both ignited and deactivated hilt-only display states.
The blaster is a great fit for the holster and Gideon can hold it very well in his right hand — index finger on the trigger. The dual-configuration setup (Darksaber in left, blaster in right) captures the canonical dual-armed Moff Gideon display state.
The Cape Engineering
The plastic cape plugs into a hole in the back of the figure. This is the plug-mount approach rather than the pull-over-head style used on other Credit Collection capes. There are no removable parts on Moff Gideon’s outfit beyond the cape.
Best Buy Exclusive Distribution
The Moff Gideon Credit Collection is one of two Best Buy-exclusive entries in the sub-line (alongside Paz Vizsla (Credit Collection)). Best Buy is a dedicated electronics retail channel with a different customer base from GameStop, Amazon, Target, or Fan Channel, making it a distinct acquisition requirement for complete Credit Collection sets.

Verdict
Moff Gideon (Credit Collection) is a clean Imperial antagonist entry with a meaningful Darksaber accessory — the left-hand Darksaber with removable blade supports canonical armed-commander display, the right-hand blaster holster fits perfectly, and the back-plug cape delivers the Imperial-commander silhouette. The left-hand-preferred Darksaber grip is the only nuance to note for display configuration planning.
