The Mountain Trooper (Galaxy’s Edge) is a Target exclusive released August 30th 2020 at $24.99 — a single-boxed re-release of the Mountain Trooper from the Galaxy’s Edge Disney Parks First Order 4-pack (id=20414). The Mountain Trooper is a specialised First Order unit trained for operations in the mountainous terrain of Batuu at Black Spire Outpost, the setting of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge theme park land. 19 joints — ball-jointed dual-axis neck, lower swivel neck, ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, wrists, upper body, hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below knees, ball-jointed ankles. Also found at Tatooine Traders at Walt Disney World.
The Figure
One blaster included: fits well in both hands, right index finger on the trigger, two-hand grip possible. No head under the helmet, no removable parts on the armour. The armour is glossy white with scratches and dirt applied to the front and back — a weathered appearance that distinguishes it from standard FO Stormtrooper white. Displays well without balance issues.
The Media Note
As of the September 2020 review, Mountain Troopers had not appeared in any Star Wars media outside the Galaxy’s Edge theme park itself. They are a park-original creation. Whether they will appear in future films, series, or other media remains an open question.
