Overview
The Night Trooper & Halloween Porg Halloween Edition 2-Pack closes the 2025 Halloween Edition series as Pack #3 of 3, released exclusively at Walmart stores in August 2025. Walmart exclusive at $24.99. A rework of the basic Black Series Night Trooper (figure id=30810) repainted as a Mummy with fabric wrapping applied to the body. A Halloween Porg companion accompanies. The matte paint application looks pretty cool in person.
The Mummy Concept
This figure is a re-work of the basic Night Trooper figure, this time repainted as a Mummy with fabric wrapped around the body. The Night Trooper character class — the undead-adjacent Thrawn-era troopers from Ahsoka — maps particularly well onto a Mummy Halloween concept. The Night Troopers were already themed around dark force magic and reanimation in the show, making the Mummy Halloween application more conceptually coherent than a straightforward armoured trooper in seasonal colours.
The fabric wrapping is its own piece but impossible to take off unless the figure is taken apart completely — and that’s not recommended. The Mummy display state is the permanent configuration.
One specific missed detail worth noting: there are some bandages sculpted onto the left shoulder bell but they were left unpainted. A minor but visible quality-control omission on a figure whose entire concept is bandage wrapping.
Articulation
18 joints — ball-jointed top and lower neck, butterfly-jointed shoulders, swivel-hinged shoulders, elbows, and wrists, ball-jointed upper body, barbell-jointed hip, swivel thighs, swivel-hinged knees, rocker ankles. Above-baseline through butterfly shoulders and rocker ankles. The shoulder bells are made out of soft plastic and will move out of the way when the arms are raised — the same soft-bell engineering as the 2024 Halloween Sith Inquisitor and Duros Bounty Hunter.
The Single Accessory
One accessory: a staff which the Night Trooper can hold well in the hands. Single-accessory loadout — lean for a Halloween novelty figure, but appropriate for the Mummy character concept where the canonical accessory is wrapping rather than weapons.
Verdict
Night Trooper & Halloween Porg Halloween Edition 2-Pack closes the 2025 Halloween series with one of its more thematically coherent entries — the Night Trooper’s existing undead-adjacent canonical identity makes the Mummy concept feel earned rather than arbitrary, the matte paint looks cool, and the butterfly shoulders with soft bells deliver above-baseline articulation. The unpainted left-shoulder-bell bandage sculpts are a visible quality miss, and the fabric-impossible-to-remove-safely is the practical display constraint.
