Overview

Rey (Jedi Training) with Crait Base is a Toys’R’Us November 2017 exclusive at $34.99 — a premium release in specially designed flap-opening packaging that opens to display the figure in a window box on the right with accessory and feature details on the left. The packaging highlights four things on the box: fabric costuming, premium character detail, environmental base, and die-cast accessories. All four are delivered. 19 joints — ball-jointed dual-axis neck, lower swivel neck, ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, wrists, upper body, hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below knees, ball-jointed ankles.

Eight Accessories

Two Crait-inspired bases — the bases plug firmly together and look great combined. One has a peg where one of Rey’s feet can be secured for a stable display pose.

Die-cast lightsaber hilt — heavier than plastic, with a genuinely premium feel. The weight difference is immediately noticeable.

Regular lightsaber hilt — the standard plastic version, with a removable blue blade.

Blue lightsaber blade — removable from the regular hilt.

Die-cast blaster — premium weight, fits the holster. One honest limitation: there is no hole next to the trigger, so Rey’s hand can’t wrap around the grip as securely as with a plastic blaster version.

Staff — fits well in Rey’s hands.

Soft-goods tunic — not designed to be removed. The source documentation notes it can probably be pulled down the legs, but it’s very difficult to get back on. Treat as permanent.

The Figure

Noticeably different from previous Jedi Training Rey releases — painted darker, with soft-goods clothing that distinguishes it visually. Rey has a wound on her right arm that was rendered using Hasbro’s printing technology; viewed very closely it appears slightly pixelated. The weathering on the arms looks particularly good. Head sculpt is well done, paint well applied throughout.

QC Warning

The review sample had noticeable black paint smudges on the belt. This isn’t an isolated incident to flag lightly — the source documentation specifically advises: inspect your figure in the store before purchasing. For secondary market purchases, examine belt paint closely in photos.

Secondary Market

Toys’R’Us, November 2017. Eight accessories: confirm both bases, both lightsaber hilts, blade, blaster, staff, and that the soft-goods tunic is present and in good condition.

Verdict

Rey Crait justifies both the $34.99 price and another Rey purchase — the die-cast weapons feel premium, the combined Crait base display is excellent, and the darker paint and soft-goods outfit make this visually distinct from every prior Rey figure. Inspect for belt paint before buying.
