Imperial Shock Trooper (Battlefront 2015) — Star Wars The Black Series

The Black Series Imperial Shock Trooper — Walmart exclusive, November 2015. $19.99. Star Wars Battlefront 2015 video game. Straight repaint of standard Stormtrooper with red markings and ANH-style helmet. 23 joints with double elbows. 2 accessories: blaster (black, fits holster left hip), blaster rifle. No backpack despite in-game backpacks. Shoulder armour limits arm elevation. Re-released at GameStop 4 years later.

Overview

The Imperial Shock Trooper (Battlefront 2015) is a Walmart November 2015 exclusive at $19.99 — based on the distinctive red-marked Shock Troopers featured in the 2015 Star Wars Battlefront video game, who appear with both ANH-style Stormtrooper helmets and red detailing indicating elite Imperial status. A straight repaint of the standard Black Series Stormtrooper (id=2285). Re-released at GameStop four years later. 23 joints — ball-jointed dual-axis neck, lower swivel neck, ball-jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, double swivel joints above and below elbows, ball-jointed wrists, waist, hips, swivel thighs, swivel joints above and below knees, ball-jointed ankles.

Two Accessories

Blaster — all-black finish. Fits well in the holster on the left hip. Fits adequately in the hands.

Blaster rifle — silver/grey finish, contrasting with the black standard blaster. Fits adequately in the hands.

The source documentation notes both weapons fit “OK” rather than tightly — not a significant issue but worth noting for dynamic posing.

No Backpack

In-game Shock Troopers are depicted wearing backpacks. The figure does not include one. The standard Stormtrooper body used for the repaint has a hole in the back intended for a backpack plug, so the absence is a known gap.

The Articulation

The double elbows and swivel biceps give more range for two-handed weapon poses than standard single-elbow Stormtrooper releases. One limitation: shoulder armour restricts how far the arms can be raised above 90 degrees.

Display Context

No head under the helmet. Belt not removable. The red markings distinguish this clearly from standard Stormtroopers on a shelf — the visual identity is strong even as a repaint.

Secondary Market

Walmart, November 2015 / GameStop re-release 2019. Two accessories: blaster and blaster rifle. The GameStop re-release is identical.

Verdict

Shock Trooper (Battlefront) delivers a visually distinctive red-marked Imperial variant at standard pricing — the double-elbow spec is the articulation plus, the game-sourced design stands out on any Imperial shelf. The missing backpack and adequate-rather-than-tight weapon fit are the honest notes.
